The term Salvation is a term describing the condition of one who is saved.  Saved, as the name implies, is a completed event in which an individual has made peace with God and God has promised them eternal life with Him in heaven.

It is sin that separates us from God.  Adam lived in the Garden of Eden with God until He sinned, then He was sent out of the garden.  It was his sin that separated him from God.  And so all men are born in sin  Romans:5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

We are in real trouble because we are born in sin, and just as Adam was we are separated from God by that sin, and death was passed upon all men.  So our condition is serious, and if not for God, hopeless, but the good news is that God knowing our situation provided an escape, a way out, a way back to the garden.

Many will tell you that if your good outweighs your bad then you will get to heaven.  I know this sounds pretty good but how do you erase all your sins?  It takes only one sin to send you to hell, so how do you go back in time and erase sin?  The answer is that you can't.  What you need is somebody to be judged for your sin in your place.

Think of it like this; Supposed you did a crime, and the police came to take you to the judge, but another person stood up in front of the judge and asked to take your punishment in your place.  The judge said ok, and set you free while punishing the other person.

Jesus is the other person, He came too be punished in your place and for your sins, and to set you free!  John:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (KJV)

God loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross in your place, and  whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)  Belief is the same as rely upon, trust, depend upon, and that is what you are doing when you get saved, you are trusting in the payment that Jesus Christ made on the cross for your sins to get you to heaven.

This event can take place anytime and anywhere, it can happen right now, all you need to do is to ask God with all your heart to forgive you of your sins and you will be saved, right now!  Right where you are, with no priest, no pastor, no preacher, just you and God.  Won't you do that now?  Secure your place in heaven.

Once you do that you are saved, God will never throw you out, or you can never do anything to be lost, God himself protects you.  In fact you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, which is God's special gift to confirm His promise of salvation to you.  Ephesians:1:13: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise

But wait!  it gets better, God has a plan for your life, to make it better in ways you never even dreamed of.  His Holy Spirit is also a teacher, a guide, and will help you understand more of whom God is and more of His plan to make your life better.  The Holy Spirit will show you the truths of the Holy Bible as you are able to understand them, He will show you things in your life and how by following Gods principles you can avoid problems, and live a healthier, and safer life.

Certainly there are times that you won't feel very spiritual, and even times that you might stray away from God, but you'll never lose your salvation, and God's Holy Spirit will never leave you.  The Lord wants a relationship with you, and so he has provided for the saved a way to restore fellowship with Him.  1John:1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)  This is not salvation all over again, your position in heaven is secured, but this is a return to fellowship, kind of like making up with a friend.

God has so much for you, won't you ask Him to save you now?  Ephesians:2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians:2:9: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

There are many people who want to control you, take your money, and tie you down, place you in bondage, but God wants to set you free.  Please Ask Him to save you NOW!
